I really enjoy Christmas. This year will be our second Christmas on the road.
We had a lot of fun at Port Parham last year. We camped at the beach. We got a heap of audio books. Santa used up all of the internet downloads – I found written on my card from Santa “P.S tell your mum to look on the laptop”! We had brought a little white Christmas tree to put on the table for the presents.
Christmas is a family activity. As we are travelling, the family we spend Christmas with now is my parents, sisters and brother. We make Christmas a special day together.
Last year, about a month away from Christmas, we were just about to leave Andamooka in northern South Australia. We spent ten weeks there. Every one at Andamooka School (the school we were going to) was to do a performance at the little town hall. Almost the whole town was there to watch the performance. At the end we all got to see Santa and get a present and bubble mix, I got a dvd case which could hold 40 CD s we have still got it!
Around Christmas I’m just at the moment making heaps of Christmas decorations, surprises and songs! The decorations will be things like little paper bells decorated strings and things like that. When they are made, I will start worrying about Christmas presents for my family. My sisters and I always make presents for everyone in our family.
On Christmas Day I will play with my brother who is 2 years old, and our sisters who are 6 and9. Before we go to bed on Christmas Eve we will put out food for Santa and his reindeer. In the morning when we wake up we will open all our presents!
I’m really excited because Grandma and Opa are coming to visit us for Christmas! That’s going to be the best Christmas present!

Hi Peter,
Your Christmas sure sounds like lots of fun. We haven’t left for our travels yet and I keep thinking that this Christmas might be one of the last ones we have in a proper house, and I wonder how my kids will like Christmas on the road.
It’s great to know that Christmas is fun wherever you are and you are right, it is all about family.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
