We came here to mainly to go fishing but also to, see Colleen and Jason our aunt and uncle. I must admit that I thought, I stood no chance of catching a fish, When we went to Tantabide, Dad and Jason went to the pier to try their luck, while Collin, Lucy, Edmund, Mum and I, however, tried our luck from on the beach. Colleen explained that I’d need to aim for a nice clump of seaweed. Apparently all the smaller fish would be hiding in the seaweed and attract the bigger fish. We would try to catch the big fish with lures. I, of course, lost one good lure of Dad’s. After that Dad, Colleen and Jason went out in a boat to try(and succeeded) in catching dinner for the 4 adults, seeing us kids didn’t like fish.
We (Mum, Susan, Lucy, Edmund and I) once we went to a library. Mum, hoped to do some work, but that didn’t go to plan, so we went all over town. But in the end Mum just had to drop us of to Dad once he got back from fishing on the boat with Jason. She went to some dive shop to do some work. We also took one trip to see Mum (all of us went) and went to check out on some shops.
One day Colleen stayed at the caravan park with us and not going on the boat with Dad and Jason. She took us to another beach where I had, the previous day caught two queen fish. The fist one I caught was big enough to keep, but it got away. I then caught an under-sized queen fish again. I did not catch anything except those two fish.
But in the end (a week after we arrived) we just had to admit we wanted to go somewhere else because of the price of the caravan park.
