Mum started it by asking everyone if they wanted to travel. Lucy, Susan and I said “Yes!” At first, Dad said, “No, I do not want to travel.” But finally he gave in.
So we went around asking about caravans, but we couldn’t find a caravan that we all liked. So finally, Mum designed our own caravan. It took six months just to build it, and then another couple of months to get everything in and in order.
Finally, the first night came. Edmund, Susan, Lucy and I slept in the caravan. I was so glad I wasn’t on Susan’s bed as her air-vent stank of glue. I felt excited as I was going to sleep.
We filled up with water. Dad, Lucy and Susan were in the car, and Mum and I were directing him as he hitched up. It took a little while, but we got it. (Dad says it did not take a little while). I can’t really describe how it felt as we drove off. I felt a little scared that Dad would hit the lamp post as we were backing out, but we got out and [dropcap]were on the road at last[/dropcap].

Hi Peter,
Great to read your stories.
I hope you filled up with Diesel as well as water or you would not have gone very far.
I enjoyed watching your photo video on youtube of all the places you have been.
We are very jealous as we are stuck here working, working, working.
Keep up the blogging and I’ll keep commenting.
We miss you all
